FAQ

  • Is fitness hard? It can be, depends on what you ask for.

  • Should I try fitness? Oh sweet baby jesus YES, being fit will make everything easier for you, it will boost confidence, health, looks.. anything you can think of.

  • Why am I writing this? Over a lengthy period I have learned much about fitness, and now it is time for me to pass this information to you, the reader.

  • How do I start? Look forward to my next post.

  • I'm overweight, can I lose all this? Hell yeah, and you don't even have to give it your all.

  • I'm big-boned/it's genetic/it's impossible to get skinny!11!!!! That's false and you know it, even a 300 pound landwhale can lose a few hundred with hard work and dedication.

  • How do you know that it's not genetic?!?!?!1111!! Form can be genetic, but the amount of fat (body fat) is in no way genetic.

  • I can't help eating! How can I lose all this weight while maintaining my current diet? Well, you should at least try to cut down on junk food and replace it with rich sources of carbohydrates and protein. But how to lose weight while taking in a large number of calories? You work it off, it will be harder but there's still a way.

  • I want to be aesthetic, is this still for me? Yup.

  • I'm a girl and I don't want to get big, I just want to lose weight! If you think that lifting will make you big, you're in for a surprise. As a female, gaining muscle is a lot more difficult than for males, to get big you'd have to eat at a ~1000 calorie surpluss, take male hormones and sometimes even steroids and don't forget working out 5-6 hours everyday. So no, lifting won't make females big if you don't want to, it will help you gain strength, lose weight and tone up.

  • Does fitness take a lot of time? Depends on what you mean by time, if it's the period to lose fat or get aesthetic then yes, it does take a lot of time. If you mean the time dedicated to working out each week, then  it depends on what you want to achieve, losing fat takes relatively little time (from 1-2 hours a week), getting fit or aesthetic takes a little more time (in the beginning it can take as less as 2 hours per week, but later on it can go up by a few hours).

  • Should I try programs for losing fat or for getting fit? I recommend getting fit, it builds muscle mass while making you lose fat at the same time.
